Utopia Collection Campaign

A colorful collision of imagination, creative freedom, and set design.

With Utopia, we set out to spotlight the breadth of creative voices within Astek’s design studio. Each wallcovering in the collection reflected a fictional world imagined by a different team member, resulting in an eclectic mix of styles and techniques, ranging from cut paper and gouache to digital illustration and virtual reality renderings. The final collection was playful, layered, and vibrant, a celebration of imagination, versatility, and individual expression of what an ideal world could be.

For the visual campaign, I collaborated with photographer Sharon Kanes to bring that same spirit to life in three dimensions. Using hand-painted elements from the design “Bali Hai,” we fabricated large-scale props with Astek’s CNC router and built a theatrical set that surrounded the model with color and form. We tested several makeup looks before landing on a final aesthetic that felt both otherworldly and cohesive with the set design. The lighting and layered staging immersed the model in a fully built environment, part backdrop, part sculptural installation.

The result was a bold, dimensional campaign that translated the whimsical energy of Utopia into a tactile, immersive visual experience.

Let’s chat.
